Well, yeah, we all have shared some lip-smacking dishes that we have got from our grandmothers, right? No wonder, grandmothers have some magical powers in their hands. Everything they cook has something special, possibly a secret ingredient. However, I must speak for the culinary art of the fathers here. Yes, dads are exceptionally great chefs. Flashback to the 6th birthday when my sister accidentally spoiled my birthday cake (yes, that’s what siblings are good at). That day, my dad’s baked a cake for me for the first time. He baked a delectable birthday cake which I believe was tastier than the one we ordered from the bakery.
If something like that happens again now, I would immediately order cake online in Bangalore, since technology has provided us with many online portals for cakes. However, technology was not so advanced at that time, and it was my dad who made my birthday super special.
Oh also, did I mention that my dad has a magic wand that creates some irresistible chip cookies? Yes, it is true, and I love flaunting it. See, I have always been that kid who would get kidnapped if lured by chocolate or a cake. Want to get some work done? Bribe me with chocolates and cakes. So, my dad had to take up baking so that I don’t get kidnapped and he has blessed my taste buds with many delicacies since then.
Though there is no such recipe of my dad that has ever failed to mesmerize me, there is this one recipe that I could die for. Yes, you guessed it right. It is CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES that has my heart. I know this is a ubiquitous dessert and I have overdramatized the whole plot, but you need to taste the chocolate chip cookies that my father bakes. So, a few weeks ago, everybody was going lunatic about the father’s day celebration. And trust me, I was living in my Zombieland, had no idea what to gift to my father on father’s day.
As I was standing by the window pane in my kitchen brainstorming myself, I got my hands on a diary. It was my father’s diary, which contained some priceless recipes of his delicacies. I had no idea that my father ever maintained such a diary. I unapologetically picked his diary and started scanning it and I found that one recipe there that my eyes were looking for.
Yes, it was the recipe of chocolate chip cookies. I quickly clicked the pictures of the recipe, placed the diary back to its place, and left no evidence behind. My father knew that I would do something special for him on the father’s day, but little did he know that I could surprise him like this.
On the eve of father’s day, I went to a grocery store nearby and did all the purchasing. The next day, I simply congratulated my father on father’s day. My father went to the library as a part of his daily routine. I geared up with my apron and rushed towards the kitchen. On returning from the library, my father was heavens above. I placed the chocolate chip cookies on the table.
My father was quite overwhelmed. And trust me, the cookies did taste fantastic. I never knew that I could ever bake cookies that good. So now, I would love to share the recipe with you guys. You can too try your hand at this delicacy and can surprise your parents, teachers, friends, etc.
