It is a dish with several regional twists because it is made in many different regions. It is a popular sweet around the time of holi and you won’t find it hard to find one at a sweet shop. It is basically a boat shaped dumpling that is made with flour. Wait for the interesting part. Inside it is filled with koya, a really sugary filling along with dry fruits. Thandai

Next we have a drink called ‘thandai’. Again, if you belong to the upper area of india, you will know what thandai is. If not, if you ever get a chance to visit, it is a must try drink especially around holi. Oh wait! You don’t even need to visit the north because this holi, while you are stuck at home, you can try preparing one at home. You must have seen in bollywood movies that holi scenes are just incomplete without pouring glasses of thandai. It is a milk based cooling drink with lots of sugar topped with dry fruits. Malpua

Malpuas are too sweet holi sweet in some areas and why not, something this delicious should be a must at every festival. Basically, malpuas are pancake style sweet made with flour, khoya and cardamom. That is not all, it is further fried and dipped in sugar syrup to complete the process.
