On This Raksha Bandhan, Let #nostalgia Kick In With Childhood Memories!

People with siblings know what ride is about to begin, right? If you can feel the title already, believe me, your childhood was awesome. That takes us to the most irritating creature in your life, sibling. Remember how your sibling was constantly there poking their nose in your matter and fighting with you for no reason at all? And don’t you agree that fighting with them was like a bullfight, like continuously provoking them like provoking a bull, but the minute you provoke them enough, you have to run for your life. Sibling rivalry is not at all easy. Why do you think there are so many Hollywood movies made on this subject? The world knows what type of bond this is, and no matter what land you reside on, the struggle of growing up with siblings is the same all around the globe.

But besides being annoying, you know that your brother or your sister is the only person you can trust blindly. Having them in life means no matter how decent you are, they manage to bring out the crazy side hidden in you. No matter if you are the younger one or the elder one, they are your team partner decided by god, because he knew that your two will make great partners in crime. To be honest, growing up is a roller coaster ride and siblings are the ones who make this ride smooth. All in all, he or she is the perfect “in house best friend” you need. Now, talking about old time, making memories with them was the best part of childhood, right? Though you did not know this in the past, but now that you understand, this Raksha Bandhan, walk down the memory lane as you prepare to send rakhi gifts to them. Here are some childhood memories that every person with siblings can relate to.

  • Food hunting

Raise your hands if you are guilty of this. One of the major parts of childhood memories cover hunting the favorite snack the other one has hid. You two used to get an equal share of food, but one used to hide it to tears and eat later. But actually the other one would find it and eat in the absence of the owner. How irritating was that?

  • Blood bath of toys

How can we forget all those favourite toys that were murdered by your sibling? Yes, it was a cold blooded murder. Honestly tell me has your brother ever chopped of legs of your favourite doll or teddy claiming that they were infected? May the soul of all those toys rest in peace. No doubt it was brutal, but who knew it all will add to the memories.

  • Darkroom (not a game)

Playing darkroom with them was fun, until they invented the other version where they used to push you in a dark room and locked up from the outside. Especially when your parents were not at home. Or turning off the lights when one of you was in the loo. Some of us do it even now. Don’t you agree that this would give a certain type of kick? This would scare the shit out of us, but with time, it made us stronger.

  • Never-ending disputes

You know just like the never-ending dispute of Kashmir, every house has a property that is disputed. That is a tv remote. I mean, my all blogs on siblings have a mention of tv remote maybe because who gets the remote was a never-ending dispute and it still is.

So, these are some wonderful childhood memories that make all of us #nostalgic.
